On Saturday 15th June 2024, four Grand Masters, Peter Westaway (Captain), Nigel Hale, Colin James and Shelly Robbins represented South Central in the Area Over 65 Masters Tournament.
They lost 1-3 to West then drew 1-1 with Yorkshire before losing 1-2 to both North West and South East. Unfortunately, goalkeeper Phil Bell had to go to A & E on Saturday evening so could not play on Sunday 16th. The good news is he is ok but South Central had to play without a goalie all day Sunday and lost 1-3 to London, 2-4 to Midlands and 1-2 to East.
Nigel Hale said “The camaraderie and tournament was enjoyable and the squad played with a good mix of players from Trojans, South Berks, Havant, Wycombe, Southampton, Windsor, Reading and, of course, ACHC!!”
