ACHC is a very friendly, social hockey club that welcomes new members of all playing ability levels, including those who may want to give hockey a try for the first time.
We are a community club which provides the opportunity for everyone within it to achieve their own goals. We will do this by offering competitive playing opportunities and high-quality coaching and mentoring in a supportive, inclusive and fun environment.
Our clubhouse overlooks the hockey pitch enabling spectators to watch indoors or outdoors any of our 15 adult Saturday teams or our 500 junior players who play in over 25 teams. This makes us one of the bigger junior sections in England..
The club has progressed rapidly up the leagues in recent years and there is a strong coaching team working with all groups to sustain and enhance playing levels and enjoyment. All club members have access to regular coaching sessions throughout the main season within their annual membership (including specialist GK coaching).
The club recently welcomed two experienced coaches Rich Egglesfield and Mark Talbot who join Head Coach Martin Jackson (Jacko) on the ACHC coaching team.
During the main season we will have the following:
- 8 x Men’s teams
- 7 x Ladies teams
- Sunday mixed and National Cup competitions
- Junior training and/or matches every Sunday, and training every mid week evening, with 25+ teams
- Adult Back to Hockey sessions (also suitable for complete beginners)
- Thriving social scene
Outside the main season and over the summer holidays, we contiune to use our wonderful facility to provide an extensive programme of intra-club events, summer league, Back to Hockey sessions, and more. For any enquiries or for further information please email info@achc.org.uk
