Two new experienced coaches will be joining the ACHC coaching team this summer.
Rich Egglesfield has been appointed Men 1s and 2s coach having spent the past seven years living in Belgium developing and growing the women’s section of KHC Leuven both as a coach and as a sporting coordinator. He grew up playing and later coaching at West Herts HC and more recently was Head Coach at Aylesbury HC. He will be moving back to the area to take up a teaching position at Berkhamsted School.
Mark Talbot will be joining the club as Ladies 1s and 2s coach having been Lead Coach at Timperley HC (North Conference) for the past three seasons and has previously been Ladies Head Coach at the University of Manchester and Performance Centre Lead Coach. He is moving to the area to take up a teaching position at Amersham School.
Both Mark and Rich are already in touch with the club and team captains to start making plans for the new season and will be involved in our pre-season programme.
Martin Jackson (Jacko) will continue to bring his expertise to the Junior Section and will be Head Coach. We are looking to continue to work with Michael Hoare, despite his return to Leeds, and benefit from his wisdom and inspiration. Unfortunately, we are saying goodbye to Callum Mackenzie who has accepted a new teaching role and we wish him well in his new position.
ACHC Club Chair, Rob Levine, said: “These new appointments will really strengthen our coaching team. As well as coaching the adult teams, they will also work with Jacko and the other coaches to manage the development of our juniors and their transition to adult teams. We look forward to welcoming them to the club this summer”.
