Congratulation to Amersham & Chalfont’s men who made a return to the EH Masters Championships finals, this time, the Men’s over 35 team who kept 11 of the 16 players in their squad from last year’s over 40 final.
The road to the final:
R1 – ACHC lost 1-3 to South Berkshire (Tier 1)
R2 – South Berkshire 5-0 ACHC (walk-over) (Tier 2)
R3 – Welwyn Garden City 0-2 ACHC (Tier 3)
R4 – ACHC 5-0 Aldershot & Farnham (T3)
QF – ACHC 6-3 to Old Southendians (T3)
SF – ACHC 3-1 to Harpenden (T3)
There were 27 players who represented the Mens O35 team this season with Gareth Oliver earning the most caps (5).
In the final against Bristol & West, he game was very tight all the way, with A&C not helping themselves with some dubious cards given either side of the half-time.
The score ended 1-2 in favour of Bristol & West as A&C took runners up medals again (goal scorer Simon Ramsden [PF]).
It has been a fantastic season and hopefully A&C can make it to the finals next season and bring home the trophy 🏆
