Recognising Effort and Achievement
At ACHC we have an Annual Junior Awards Evening where we recognize the effort and achievements of our young players throughout the season. Our players work hard every week attending training and playing fixtures, they focus on developing as players and improving their skills while enjoying themselves. It’s really important for us to recognize these players and present awards to those selected each year.
Our age group awards are presented for either most improved player in their age group or player of the season, we then have awards which are presented for particular accomplishments:
The Mike Johnston Shield – this award was presented to the club by Mike Johnston, a long standing member and junior helper, and it is awarded each year to the girl who contributes the greatest to the junior section and the club and shows the most enthusiasm.
The Tony Eaude Shield – this award was presented to the club by Tony Eaude, a long standing member and coach at the club and it is awarded each year to the boy who contributes the greatest to the junior section and the club and shows the most enthusiasm.
The Arthur Holt Memorial Trophies – these awards are for the boy and girl who are in the younger age groups (U12 or below) who have shown the most enthusiasm and contributed the most to the junior section and the club.
The Young Leader of the Year Award – this is presented to the junior who has developed as a young leader and shown real determination and commitment to being a young leader and helping and inspiring others.
